Job Description

In this role, you’ll play a key role in turning complex economic data into clear insights for our clients and internal stakeholders. You’ll have direct exposure to senior leaders, trading desks and clients while contributing to high quality research that shapes real-world investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyse economic indicators including GDP trends, inflation rates, employment data, interest rates, and fiscal policy developments across major economies
  • Conduct quantitative analysis and econometric modeling to forecast economic trends and market impacts
  • Build, maintain, and streamline economic databases with rigorous attention to detail
  • Prepare written research notes, presentations, and client-ready materials on economic developments and market implications
  • Support senior economists in producing daily, weekly, and thematic research publications
  • Collaborate with trading desks, sales teams, and other divisions to provide economic insights for investment decisions
  • Track central bank policies, regulatory changes, and geopolitical developments affecting global markets
  • Assist in developing economic models and analytical tools to evaluate market scenarios
  • Participate in client calls and presentations to communicate economic views

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or related quantitative field
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in economic research, investment banking, asset management, central bank, or research institution
  • Strong foundation in macroeconomic theory, econometrics, and financial markets
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and programming tools (e-views, Stata, or similar)
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial databases (Haver Analytics, Macrobond)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex data clearly
  • Strong analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail
