The Role

Reporting to the Vice President – Finance Markets, this role is part of the team supporting our Fixed Income, Currency, and Commodities (FICC) business. You’ll be responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of financial, management, and regulatory reporting related to trading activity.

As a key member of the Finance Markets team, you’ll be a trusted partner to the business, driving financial optimisation, supporting commercial outcomes, and helping ensure robust control environments. In this role, you will:

• Take ownership of daily P&L reporting, providing accurate analysis, insightful commentary, and clear reconciliation of trading activity
• Ensure the integrity of financial and trade data across reporting streams, while monitoring compliance with policies and accounting standards
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to explain financial performance, resolve product challenges, and support informed decision-making
• Contribute to a range of initiatives – from business investigations and process improvements to new product development and system enhancements
• Support month-end close and audit processes by preparing high-quality reports and financial data

About You

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and commercially minded Qualified Accountant with strong technical foundations and a desire to build a career in capital markets. You may be transitioning from financial accounting, product control, or assurance within professional services or a financial services environment.

Ideally, you’ll have trained at a leading Chartered Accounting firm (e.g. Big 4 or second-tier) and bring strong knowledge of financial products and operational controls. Additionally, you will bring:

• CA qualification (or equivalent), with experience in product control or financial reporting
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Understanding of financial products and capital markets data flows
• Familiarity with trading systems, processes, and operational controls
• Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with Power BI or data modelling is a plus
• Experience in a regulated financial environment is an advantage
