Job Description
As a VP Equity Research Analyst within Jarden's Australian Equities Research team, you will be leading research and analysis on a portfolio of companies across the Industrials sector, on behalf of institutional asset management clients. With extensive experience in equity markets, you will possess a strategic mind and use your leadership skills to drive innovative thinking and contribute to a dynamic and highly rated team.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading the production of comprehensive research and analysis on listed companies across the industrials sector, with a focus on providing strategic insights and investment recommendations
Advanced interpretation of news/market announcements/regulatory filings to form sophisticated perspectives on industry trends and potential impacts on portfolio companies
Development and oversight of complex financial models that underpin research reports and recommendations, while mentoring less experienced team members
Conducting comprehensive analysis of key industry and company-specific revenue/earnings drivers and maintaining deep expertise in market dynamics
Managing and overseeing the research production process, ensuring timely completion of commercial, compliance research insights across multiple coverage areas
Leading client interactions and internal strategy discussions, providing senior-level expertise on listed companies and related industries
Managing databases and data architecture including the oversight of internal and third-party data sources, ensuring the availability of accurate and comprehensive information across the research platform.

In addition, you have:
Extensive experience in the industrials sector and deep market knowledge with significant direct industry experience or senior-level exposure through equity research, actuarial or corporate finance roles
Advanced proficiency in Excel and sophisticated financial modelling expertise coupled with comprehensive understanding of corporate accounting principles and regulatory frameworks
Senior-level expertise in corporate finance valuation methodologies and deep understanding of equity market valuation metrics and market dynamics
Exceptional attention to detail and proven track record in producing high-quality research reports with the ability to synthesise complex analysis into clear, actionable investment recommendations
Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with demonstrated ability to articulate sophisticated investment ideas to senior stakeholders and clients
Strong academic foundation with relevant tertiary qualification in Actuarial, Finance or Accounting disciplines. Advanced qualifications such as FIAA, CA or CFA are highly regarded.
