Job Description

Jarden is seeking a Corporate Finance Associate to join our growing team. As the leading trans-Tasman corporate finance and capital markets firm, the role offers an exceptional opportunity to work on complex, high-profile transactions while developing your career alongside industry-leading professionals.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate to join our growing General Industrials team, where you'll have the opportunity to work on complex, high-profile transactions while developing your career alongside industry-leading professionals.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support execution of M&A transactions, capital raisings, and strategic advisory mandates.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial analyses, valuation models, and transaction documentation.
  • Conduct due diligence and coordinate with legal, accounting, and other professional advisors.
  • Assist in the preparation of pitch materials and client presentations.
  • Conduct thorough independent research on industries and companies to inform strategic recommendations.
  • Develop relationships with clients through active involvement in transactions and advisory assignments.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to conduct due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including market analysis and risk assessment.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes in the sector.

 

Desired Skills and Experience

You will be a competent, confident individual with the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment. You will be interacting extensively with colleagues and clients so strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential. You will have strong attention to detail and the ability to organise and manage multiple work assignments, with frequent priority changes.

In addition, you have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Relevant corporate finance experience at an investment bank or boutique corporate advisory firm.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modelling and analytical skills, with a solid understanding of valuation techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and PowerPoint
