The Role

We're looking for a motivated Settlements Analyst to join our collaborative and dynamic team. You’ll work closely with a range of internal teams—Dealers, Cash Team, Derivatives, Scrip Team, and more—along with external financial institutions to help facilitate the smooth settlement of trades across a variety of products. Key responsibilities could include:  

• Facilitate daily settlements across various markets, including Equities, Carbon, and Futures trades, ensuring smooth and accurate processing.
• Investigate settlement discrepancies and work with both internal and external parties to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
• Reconcile broker trades against internal records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Process payments and receipts for clients, ensuring funds are handled correctly and in line with dealer instructions.
• Post journals into multiple Operations systems, maintaining data integrity.
• Drive operational excellence by identifying areas for process improvement and implementing solutions.
• Ensure compliance with audit and regulatory requirements, maintaining high standards in every task you undertake.
• Collaborate across teams to support various functions and assist where needed, contributing to the wider success of the Operations team.
