The Role

We are seeking an experienced derivatives dealer to join our FICC night desk covering the European and US shifts. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of sales, executing trades, compliance, client relationship management and managing risk for our clients’ derivative transactions during non-traditional trading hours. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Execute trades for clients’ derivative transactions during non-traditional trading hours, ensuring timely and accurate trade execution consistent with relevant market rules 
  • Successfully operate internal and external trading platforms on fixed income, currency, commodities, and equity derivatives
  • Monitor market conditions and news events that may impact a client’s position and communicate any relevant information to them  
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the trading team, internal Advisory, and Online Sales Teams to ensure seamless execution of trades and efficient risk management processes
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in derivatives trading.

About You

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of derivatives markets with a minimum of three to five years experience, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic trading environment. You will possess exceptional people skills and will be able to work flexibly in a team environment. 
                
In addition, you have:

  • A minimum of 3 - 5 years of financial markets experience 
  • The ability to work night shifts – this role has very demanding hours and is not for everyone.
  • A passion for financial markets and a relevant degree or work experience to demonstrate this 
  • A strong interest in your ongoing professional development.
