Jarden Investment Banking Internship Programme 2025

Gain practical work experience alongside some of the best in the industry with Jarden’s summer internship programme, commencing in late November 2025. You’ll be closely involved in our investment banking projects, gaining unparalleled insight into high value transactions involving both New Zealand and international clients.  

Your responsibilities will involve tasks including (but not limited to) financial modelling and analysis, company research, presentations and reports.  
 
You will work across a range of transactions including mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, and other strategic and corporate finance assignments. Recent examples of our work include: 
•    Joint transaction adviser to Fonterra on the potential divestment of its global Consumer (and associated) businesses
•    Sole lead manager and underwriter for Fletcher Building in connection with its NZ$700m equity raise
•    Joint lead manager and underwriter for Auckland International Airport in connection with its NZ$1.4bn equity raise, the largest ever follow-on equity raising for an NZX listed company
•    Joint lead manager for Westpac's $375m issuance of perpetual preference shares
•    Financial adviser to Synlait on its recapitalisation, including a NZ$218m equity raise, NZ$450m refinancing of bank facilities and a settlement of ongoing contractual disputes
•    Adviser to The Warehouse Group on the takeover approach from Adamantem Capital 
•    Sole lead manager and underwriter for Heartland in connection with its NZ$210m equity raise 
•    Adviser to Goodman Group on the internalisation of Goodman Property Trust 
•    Defence adviser to Sky TV on the takeover approach from an unnamed buyer 
•    Adviser to Spark on Connexa’s acquisition of the 2degrees tower portfolio for NZ$1.1bn
•    Adviser to thl on its acquisition of Apollo Tourism & Leisure for NZ$157m
•    Adviser to Spark on its sale of TowerCo to Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan for NZ$1.2bn

Application criteria 
•    Be in penultimate year of study, working towards a relevant tertiary qualification 
•    Exceptional university grades 
•    Demonstrable interest in business and finance 
•    Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills 
•    Sound analytical skills 
•    All candidates must have the legal right to work in New Zealand (including, if necessary, a work visa)

All positions are full-time and based in Jarden’s Auckland office. If both the Graduate Programme and 2025 Internship are applicable to you due to flexibility in the completion of your qualification or post-graduate study, we recommend applying for both.
